This video series is designed to introduce a newer user to the more commonly used workflows for inspection in Geomagic Control X. These common workflows have been simplified into two categories.  Pre-Planned inspection is best for users that already have an inspection plan that they want to reproduce in CX.  Unplanned makes more sense when the user is going to figure out the details of their inspection as they go through the workflow. There are many other valid workflows that can be used depending on what the end goals are, but these are the most common use cases.  In this tutorial, the scan data will be compared to CAD, but CX has the ability to compare the scan data to other meshes or analyze the scan without any reference data.  

This series is organized based on the two flow charts shown on the right of this page. Users can navigate the tutorial by selecting a starting point in one of the workflows below, then look for the drop-down menus in the article to go to the next step.

Each block in the chart has its own article linked below. These articles will provide some additional information to supplement and contextualize the videos.
