The tool for feature tree navigation is called 'Replay'.
Often though you simply access this from the part feature tree.
Right click on any feature and you have 2 similar options, 'insert' or 'jump to'. Both take you back to that feature in the timeline.
Insert means you will be creating new features at this point. The tree insertion arrow now moves, and the features below are suppressed. In order to exit Insert Mode the suppressed features must un-suppress and regenerate.
Jump To means that you are only interested in viewing the part at this point in time. The tree insertion arrow moves but no features are suppressed. You can move forward or backward through the features quickly without waiting on any regeneration.
